In Part I we dove into some rather crazy car purchases/collections by exceptional athletes. The hits keep coming in Part II, let’s get it crackin!
Perhaps as popular for his on-field moves at USC and later in the NFL, Bush also got wrapped up in the famed Kardashian circle, having dated Kim for a stint. While that didn’t last, his love for cars continues and one of Bush’s most prized possessions is a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Grey with black racing lines, a shocking $800,000 worth of work went into this car. Rumor is Bush is looking to sell, but it won’t fetch that hefty amount. Look for this car to move in the $300,000 range. So, if you have 300 big ones sitting around, this might be a good investment.
Cena has been a classic muscle car head for some time, but also enjoys breaking the mold and creating some new toys to play with. When Cena is not busy being the biggest wrestling star on the planet or the number one spokesman for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, you can catch John with his custom Corvette, a beast conceived and built out by Parker Brothers Concepts. Known as the InCENArator (clever stuff), word is this car can be purchased. You’ll just need to beat the heck out of Cena and then convince him to sell.
No introduction needed here. A household name at this point, but even more famous than Kobe is his Ferrari F430. Well, maybe not this model, but Ferrari certainly does enough on name alone to turn heads. Over the years Mr. Bryant has put together an impressive collection, ranging from everything from a Bentley to Range Rover to Mercedes to Lexus. But this model here, the F430, is known to be Kobe’s baby.
Nobody bends it like this dude. No, not plastic, nor his knees. Beckham has an extraordinary knack for bending a soccer ball in mid-air so that it flies around a defender and lands straight in the net. But more impressive – David’s Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead. We’ve reported on this beast before, a convertible, black on black on black with a cream interior. It’s a gorgeous ride but alas not part of Beckham’s stable any longer. In fact, when it sold for $390,000 this baby had less than 6,000 miles on it. Crazy!
There is perhaps nobody as elusive in all of sports, no matter the sport, then Floyd Mayweather. This guy is a boxing savant, and his claim to fame is nobody can touch him. Seriously, he’s impossible to hit. Many have tried, very few have ever knocked him out, and it would only be fitting that one of the prized possessions of Floyd’s many possessions is another elusive figure – the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita. This piece of machinery is one of two ever made. Yes, one of two. It is as elusive as its sibling, which is also quite elusive. There could not have been a better auto fit for Money Mayweather.
